March 2005: Command-Line Software now available to control our serial relay boards from a desktop shortcut
Trumbauersville PA.  Pencom Design Inc, has released for download the command-line software to control our RS-232 serial relay boards.  Now you can operate our relay boards without learning any software language.  The command-line operation will allow the user to control the relay boards from a desktop shortcut  -- in the background without opening a window.  In addition, using the command-line and the Windows task scheduler will allow the user to control the relay operation at any time, date, or when windows starts - that can be setup within the task scheduler.  

This eliminates having to deal with the mscomm32.ocx or learning any software language to control your relay boards.  Can be run within Visual Basic for Applications using the shell command which is built into many MS software programs such as Word, Excel, Access, etc. without requiring mscomm32.ocx  and the licensing hassles.

March 2004: 230V Internal Transformer now available for 1 & 2 Channel Serial Relay Boards
Trumbauersville PA.  Pencom Design Inc, has released for production a new  230VAC 50/60 Hz internal transformer for the 1 & 2 channel serial relay boards.   These boards are very beneficial when your application only has 230V available.  OEM's and switching system designers will greatly benefit from this new design.  The new  model numbers are: S1-RLY-INT-2 & S2-RLY-INT-2, single and dual channel respectively ,  see the Single Channel Relay Board or the Dual Channel Relay Board to purchase these items.

October 2003: New Relay Board Enclosure for 1 & 2 Channel Versions
Trumbauersville PA.  Pencom Design Inc, has released a plastic enclosure to fit our single or dual channel relay boards.  This enclosure will fit model numbers: S1-RLY-EXT & S2-RLY-EXT external transformer version only.  This enclosure may be used to retrofit previously purchased relay boards or for new boards. May 2003: New 8 Channel Serial Relay Board Design Released
Trumbauersville PA.  Pencom Design Inc, has released for production a new low cost 8 Channel Serial Relay Board utilizing the PC compatible's RS232 serial port, with heavy duty 10 Amp 250VAC/28VDC SPDT power relaysCapable of operating in a multi-board configuration with up to 16 boards (128 Relays) in a daisy chain topology, through one serial port.  Each board is connected using standard modular cables for easy hookups.  Available with an enclosure and external wall transformer or without an enclosure with a 120VAC on-board transformer.  Utilizes the same test software and simple ASCII commands as or 1 & 2 Channel Relay Boards, No special drivers needed.  Many software languages may be used to operate this board, Visual Basic, Visual C, C++, Java, etc.  More...

April 2003: New 1 & 2 Channel Serial Relay Board Design Released
Trumbauersville PA.  Pencom Design Inc, has released a new low cost 1 or 2  Channel Serial Relay Board with heavy duty 10 Amp 250VAC/28VDC SPDT power relays, controlled through one of the PC RS232 serial ports.  An excellent choice when the cost of  4, 8, or 16 channel boards is too prohibitive for your application. 

Each board is connected using standard modular cable for easy hookups.  Available with an external wall transformer or with a 120VAC on-board transformer.  Software may be written in any language that supports the serial port,  easy ASCII commands -- No special drivers needed.  Free Relay Test Software available to verify operation prior to writing any software.   Applications include, Industrial control applications, Automatic test equipment (ATE), Process control systems, and Power switching applications to name a few. April 2003: Repeat Timer function added to the Programmable Event Control Timers (PECT)
Trumbauersville PA. Pencom Design Inc, announced a new repeat timer feature added to the popular Programmable Event Control Timers.  This allows the event control timer to operate as a repeat timer (continuous operation) instead of an event timer (respond to an external event).  The 2 channel version can operate as a repeat timer on one or both channels. January 2003: New 1 & 2 Channel Programmable Event Control Timers (PECT)
Trumbauersville PA. Pencom Design Inc, announced the release of a new 1 or 2 Channel Programmable Event Control Timers.   These  timers have three events (delay event, event duration, and recycle delay) with up to 240 seconds (four minutes) per individual event activated by our PIR sensors or other input device.  Outputs feature heavy duty 10 Amp 250VAC/28VDC SPDT power relays.  Stand alone operation once the PECT is programmed by the software the unit is fully self-contained.   Applying power to the device after it's programmed it will immediately start its event cycle when it receives a signal from the input.

Applications include security, surveillance, camera/VCR activation or intruder alarms, museum exhibit activation, automated Lighting applications haunted house special effects activation, Halloween prop activation, automatic door bell, automated product demonstration, etc.  Free Event Control Software is available to program the device. January 2003: Miniature PIR Sensors for detecting motion in a limited field of view
Trumbauersville PA. Pencom Design Inc, has announced a new miniature passive infrared sensor that has a restricted field of view to detect motion in a limited area.  Designed to work with our programmable event control timers but may be used in other applications. Applications include security, surveillance, camera/VCR activation or intruder alarms, museum exhibit activation, automated Lighting applications haunted house special effects activation, Halloween prop activation, automatic door bell, automated product demonstration, etc.   Approximately 15' activation range 5-10 VDC power requirements.
